Sentence and Phrases:

What is sentence?

A sentence is a group of words that tells a complete idea. It usually has a person or thing doing something. For example, "The dog runs." This is a sentence because it tells us who (the dog) and what it is doing (runs).

Examples of simple sentences:

1. The sun shines.
2. The cat sleeps.
3. Birds sing.
4. She reads a book.
5. He eats an apple.
6. The baby laughs.
7. The dog barks.
8. The flowers bloom.
9. They play soccer.
10. The car stops.

What is Phrases?

A phrase is a group of words that go together but do not make a complete sentence. It does not have a subject doing an action. For example, "in the garden" is a phrase. It gives more information but isn't a complete idea on its own.

Examples of phrases:

1. Under the bed
2. In the morning
3. Very tired
4. Eating ice cream
5. With a smile
6. Near the beach
7. Over the rainbow
8. Full of joy
9. Behind the door
10. Walking slowly
